If you are anything like us, for the past two weeks, every time you check Twitter, or open a text message, or turn on your television, or . . . engage in conversation with another human, you expect that this is going to be it: the tweet or the text or the news flash that is going to exclaim, “Behold, Beyoncé’s twin offspring, and now you shall know their names!”

Yes, since June 17, we have known that the twins were in our world, but we do not have much more to go on than that! Reports indicate—many of them sourced from a sighting of a pink and blue balloon delivery to the hospital—that she gave birth to a boy and a girl, but that is in no way conclusive until we get that information from Beyoncé herself. Beyoncé has not been seen since the delivery, either, a fact we were reminded of Sunday night when she sent Chloe and Halle to pick up a BET Award on her behalf. (Jay Z has been seen a few times, and also has a new album out on Friday—it will be interesting to see how the timing of that release matches up with the twins reveal.)

TMZ has a new report Monday morning which claims that the couple is “still dealing with premature birth issues,” as the twins were still in the hospital as of four days ago. The newborns are reportedly “under the lights,” meaning, most likely, that they have jaundice (which the lights help to eradicate). Per the outlet, “none of the medical problems should pose serious long-term issues.”

So we wait, and we wait, and we check Tina Knowles’s Instagram; and then we wait, we re-watch all of Lemonade, and then wait some more; we revise our handwritten list of potential Beyoncé twin names, and then we wait; we pour ourselves a glass of actual lemonade, and we wait; we sit through a double feature of Obsessed and Austin Powers in Goldmember (that’s how crazed we are!), and then we continue waiting.
