Half the universe may have been snapped away in the last movie, but Marvel nonetheless attracted millions of eyes when the studio debuted the Avengers: Endgame trailer on Friday. The hotly anticipated sequel has already Hulk-smashed the record for 24-hour trailer views, as previously set by Avengers: Infinity War.

That’s according to Marvel themselves, who tweeted a thank-you to fans for sending Endgame trailer views skyrocketing to 289 million views across various platforms in one day’s time. For contrast, the initial teaser for Avengers: Infinity War dialed up 230 million views, while the recent teaser for Disney’s live-action (ish) adaptation of The Lion King raked in an impressive 224.6 million.

Fans had speculated for months when Marvel might release the new Avengers trailer, which also formally revealed the Endgame subtitle after months of teasing. This past week also saw Marvel releasing the second trailer for Captain Marvel. Additional rumors have suggested that the first footage from Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel Spider-Man: Far From Home may also debut in the coming days, despite its story taking place after the hush-hush events of Avengers: Endgame. The new Avengers film is expected to release worldwide on April 26, 2019—an announcement also made during the record-setting promo.
