For not having publicly done anything, Drake is having a strange week. For one, he’s been called out via Instagram by Kanye West, along with Nick Cannon and Tyson Beckford, while also having his friendship with 14-year-old Millie Bobby Brown revealed to the world. If the last one sounds a little odd, Brown hears your concerns. The Stranger Things actress posted a little note to her Instagram story, addressed to everyone scratching their heads over Drake and Brown’s friendship.

“Why u gotta make a lovely friendship ur headline? U guys are weird . . . for real,” she wrote. “I’m lucky to have people in the business extend their time to help me further my career and offer their wisdom and guidance. I’m very blessed to have amazing people in my life. U don’t get to choose that for me. It’s nice to have people who understand what I do. Now get back to talking about real problems in this world other than my friendships . . . jeez.”

Brown stirred up some strong feelings on the Internet earlier this week after telling Access Hollywood about her friendship with the 31-year-old rapper.

“I love him. I met him in Australia, and he’s honestly so fantastic,” she said during an interview at the Emmys, adding that he helps her with boy troubles. “We just texted each other the other day and he was like, ‘I miss you so much,’ and I was like, ‘I miss you more.’ He’s great.”

Her brief statement led to a Twitter uproar and some intense accusations about Drake's supposed intentions. But lest we all forget that Aubrey “Drake” Graham understands the plight of being a child star. He starred on the Canadian teen drama Degrassi from 15 until his early twenties before being catapulted into his current superstardom. Perhaps Brown views Drake as a big brother with similar life experiences, and really, there are worse big brothers to have.
