On Friday, Taylor Swift got the Internet’s attention when she apparently scrubbed her Instagram account. In addition, her Web site has gone black, her Tumblr is blank, and the most recent tweet on her Twitter profile (now missing her photo) is a 2010 message to Miranda Lambert. Many have already speculated that, following Swift’s sexual-assault court case win on Monday, she is starting fresh—and perhaps hinting at a new album release as well. After all, it’s been nearly three years since her last record, the best-selling 1989—and previously, Swift was known for always releasing albums on a two-year cycle.

Among obvious “blank space” jokes, some Swifties on Twitter think that Swift might have been hacked. Perez Hilton, for one, isn’t ruling out a Swift hack, but he isn’t ruling out a new Swift album, either.

Others have begun preparations for the next coming of T. Swift, whatever that may mean:

There is also a third theory, though, one that deserves some attention. As The Verge noted Swift’s Twitter account appeared to be following the account of her long-term nemesis Katy Perry on Friday; Pop Crave tweeted out a screenshot as proof and then deleted it, per The Verge. Some saw this as a sign that Swift and Perry may have made amends, and are preparing to announce a performance at the upcoming Video Music Awards—much as Swift did with Nicki Minaj following a conflict in 2015.

Really, no one seems to actually know what’s going on. For now, though, we can at least enjoy this vintage birthday-wish tweet from one Taylor Swift to Katy Perry, circa 2009.
