Taylor Swift has changed her hair yet again, nearly breaking Instagram while doing so. She debuted the change last night at Liberty Ross’s birthday party, causing friends and fans to post photos to social media in a frenzy. The shaggy cut, which features fringed bangs, was courtesy of hairstylist Gareth Bromell, whose affinity for posting photos to Instagram in groups of three allowed the world to get a prime look at Swift’s latest hair shakeup. Colorist Tracey Cunningham provided Swift’s golden hue, which seems more reminiscent of her grunge-inspired look for her Vogue cover back in April than the dirty blonde, side-swept bangs of Swift’s earlier days.

Swift seemed to be transitioning out of her dramatic chin-length bob that she debuted on the cover of Vogue, then subsequently bleached, showing off her grown out wavy hair at Gigi Hadid’s Tommy Hilfiger show two weeks ago. While many commenters are attributing the sudden change to her recent breakup with British actor Tom Hiddleston, one could also conclude that Swift, who has cut her hair roughly five times this year, just loves to switch up her hair.
