An April survey by research firm Piper Jaffray showed that the modern teen considers the following brands to be cool: Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, Chipotle, and Nike. But, per Page Six, when it comes to their preferences in political leadership, kids these days seem to look no further than Joe Biden.

A group of high-school students gathered outside the window of Midtown Manhattan restaurant Don Giovanni on Monday to watch the former vice president eat his lunch. “There were a bunch of teens standing outside looking in and taking pictures,” a witness told Page Six.

Nearly a year into the Trump administration, it’s no surprise that the youth is looking to “Uncle Joe” as a reminder of “what’s cool.” Earlier in the day on Monday, Biden spoke at Glamour’s Women of the Year Summit at the Brooklyn Museum, with his wife, Dr. Jill Biden. There, he referenced the latest news involving accusations of sexual assault in the Hollywood industry and beyond.

“The greatest sin a person can commit is the abuse of power. It’s time to change the culture,” he said. “Women hold up half the sky, and it’s time this ends,” he continues. “Don’t let this slow up. This is the time to fundamentally change the culture of how women are treated in American society.”

Biden is also promoting his new memoir, Promise Me, Dad, which he wrote for his son Beau, who died in 2015. When Biden spoke with Vanity Fair about the book last month, he hinted that he is hardly finished being the cool guy in American politics. Look out, 2020.

“I’ve got too much more to do to write an autobiography,” he said. “For real. I don’t consider my attempt to contribute to the public square finished.”
