Wild Wild West

Westworld Season 2 Teaser Promises New Worlds and Vengeful Robots

The tables are turned.

Westworld only just started shooting its second season earlier this month, and, as you might expect, the cast and crew of the notoriously secretive show were fairly tight-lipped during their Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con Saturday. But even with just a handful of shooting days under its belt, Westworld still rolled up to the event with a little teaser trailer.

It’s difficult to pinpoint which image here is the most enticing. An angry Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) and Teddy (James Marsden) riding around, gunning down humans? A blood-spattered William (Ed Harris) getting back in the habit? A dumbstruck Lee Sizemore (Simon Quarterman) and Maeve (Thandie Newton) viewing the carnage of her rebellion? All great stuff. But the most intriguing may be the site of Bernard/Arnold (Jeffrey Wright) staring down at a dead animal that does not look like it belongs in the wild, wild West. What adjacent world did this predator come from?

Westworld Season 2 is scheduled to premiere some time in 2018.
