See Photographer Dafydd Jones’s Party Photos from the 80s and 90s

For photographers, the process of printing in a black-and-white darkroom is a return to the basics of photography. As photographer Dafydd Jones recalls, “In the 80s and 90s, I’d be in the darkroom every day. Now I spend half my time sitting at a computer.” Jones recently decided to go back through his archive and reprint photos taken for Tatler and Vanity Fair; he ended up with six sets of 59 images, each packaged in a box, one of which was recently bought by the Hyman Collection. The photographs will also be shown at the Art Bermondsey Project Space in London through June 5th, in a show entitled "Exhibition in a Box." Here, Dafydd shares some of his images from the box set and explains their backstory.
