Michelle Obama may have saved her best state dinner fashion moment for last. On Tuesday, the First Lady wore floor-length, rose-gold chainmail for what is reportedly the final state dinner of her husband’s presidency.

In salute to the evening’s guests of honor—Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and his wife Agnese Landini—the First Lady opted for the design from Italian fashion house Atelier Versace. The gown featured shimmery bodice detail, a cinched waist, and an asymmetrical neckline—which Obama complemented with her hair sleek, straight, and down. In the past, Obama has worn designers ranging from Brandon Maxwell to Vera Wang to the traditional White House banquets. Earlier in the day, FLOTUS wore a knee-length Giambattista Valli dress to give Landini a tour of her garden.

Some 400 guests—including Giorgio Armani, Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld, John Turturro, and Gap CEO Art Peck were expected to attend the four-course meal, which was overseen by Mario Batali and served inside a tent situated on the South Lawn. Entertainment for the evening is said to have included Gwen Stefani, Chance the Rapper, Frank Ocean, and James Taylor.
