I am currently sitting on the plane to Paree from Milan and am rethinking that $400 purchase of a Snoopy T-shirt from Gucci. A medical side effect from covering New York and Milan Fashion Weeks is that I sometimes make aggressive, spontaneous shopping decisions. (They are currently working on a cure, thank you for your thoughts and prayers.) Well, my boss’s mother found out the price I paid and quickly sent over a Snoopy T-shirt she had found online for $14.99. Yes, this was admittedly hysterical, but no thank you! Mine is Gucci, Annie, [mic drop] and I have my own passive-aggressive family to deal with. Sorry, I digress and shall move on!

Milan was wonderful. Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Prada, and pasta truffles from Dal Bolognese were among the highlights. The Paris shows start tomorrow, and I will be chronicling them with a daily diary accompanied by photos. I’m looking forward to seeing the new look of Christian Dior and Saint Laurent (both have new designers and big shoes to fill). I’ll be hobnobbing with models and celebrities and sharing what goes on when the most fashionable city in the world takes center stage. Follow along on Instagram @carlscrush for #PFW photos and @VanityFair for behind-the-scenes Insta Stories. And yes, for $400, the Snoopy T-shirt will be making another appearance!
