If you are anything like us, you have long believed that Kate Middleton controls the weather, that a simple wink causes the clouds in the U.K. to clear, or that a hair toss results in a gust of wind. And we are going to assume that she has brought these powers with her to Canada, for the royal tour, and that she decided this morning that she wasn’t feeling in the mood for outdoor water-oriented activities, and so she sneezed, or coughed, or whatever, so that it would start downpouring.

Yes, the rains came in Canada, on day three of the Canadian royal tour, as the couple arrived at Bella Bella, where the Great Bear Rainforest is located. Kate was seen entering the day’s events shielded by an umbrella; she opted for Zara jeans, and a Holland & Holland jacket for the occasion, which gave the the overall effect of a safari, Indiana Jones-esque protagonist. (And this has us jonesing for Kate to star in an action-type movie with a non-sensical title, like The Dutch in Duchess, or Princess Rules: Tiara Under Fire).

The couple were greeted indoors, in a makeshift setting for the ceremony, as they were met by Bella Bella natives and representatives.

Inside, she took the coat off, revealing a blue sweater over button-down look that is very Autumn Pumpkin Spice Latte. She could be a Lands’ End model in this look, honestly.

Following the cultural sharing ceremony, and dedication of the rainforest, the pair will return to Victoria, for a ceremony tonight (which means, yes, another Kate look for the day) at Government House, in honor of “Canadians who have contributed to the community.”
