Colton Haynes and Skyler Samuels on Acting, Fashion, and Their Forever Friendship
Released on 09/13/2016
Well, I met you when I was 15.
We met each other at a time when we were both
sort of ushered into that young Hollywood world,
which can be a little daunting and weird.
[Colton] It's so weird.
Oh my god, Colton was my first onscreen kiss.
It was so awkward because we always
had to have those prosthetics.
Remember, like you had to turn grey.
And you had veins and stuff. The veins.
Colton is this king of social media.
I'm like the town jester.
I think Colton has always been a great model, in my mind,
of someone who just uses the platform honestly,
but also responsibly.
I'm very happy to be in that position.
I'm getting so many people who are reaching out to me
being like, I need advice.
And it's the first time I'm talking about this on camera,
I'm like, Ah, I don't wanna cry.
But it's really incredible to be in a position
where I can finally be myself, and to actually say
I feel the happiest I've ever been.
Besides acting, I love fashion.
You feel good about yourself.
You're just gonna carry yourself a different way,
so it makes me confident.
Confidence definitely is something
that comes from the inside out,
but sometimes you gotta help yourself out,
and you gotta make it from the outside in.
Perfect day in LA would be--
[Skyler] Would probably be eating.
Definitely eating.
Colton and I used to actually go,
remember we'd go to that roller rink?
[Colton] That's right, they were next to
a bowling alley too.
[Skyler] Yup.
We would always keep in contact, we always texted.
I used to go to her house in between filming and make
Mona chicken, which is her grandma's amazing recipe.
[Skyler] My mom loves him.
[Colton] So yeah, it's cool because we just know
we're always gonna be friends.
Well, I hope for you that you meet the most amazing guy.
And I have to say, with everything that's happened
in your life recently, I feel like
you're finally living your truth.
I could cry, it just makes me so happy to see you.
You're the sweetest. I love him so much!
I love you.
